394 Light Oval Table

394 Light Oval Table

Light Oval Table reflects Matthew Hilton’s interest in the concept of ‘impossible lightness,’ where he tries to create the feeling of greater spaciousness in a room by reducing the visual weight of his furniture. Surprisingly slender, this sculptural table features a slim tabletop, with timber planks oriented lengthwise to proudly display the quality and natural beauty of the material, and a cantilevered leg with complex joinery.

Details:

  • Available in black walnut, white oak, or ash in a range of finishes. *Pictured in Danish Oiled Walnut and White Oiled Ash.

  • Crafted at the solar-powered De La Espada factory in Portugal. Designed by a creative partner and rigorously engineered with the support of our in-house product development team and expert craftspeople. Durability, comfort and aesthetics combine for a product that lasts a lifetime.

  • Timber is sustainable solid wood from North America or Europe, offering long-term repairability of the surface. Natural colour and grain variations in every plank make each piece an individual. Traditional wood joinery bonded with wood glue ensures structural integrity. All finishes are non-toxic and applied by hand, sprayed or rubbed.

Mortise and tenon joints, dovetailing and lap joints combined with slow-drying wood glue that seeps deep into the fibers of the solid wood create strong, unbreakable bonds adding long life to every piece of furniture they make.
