- Blanket designs are created at Caminito's home base in the Bay Area and hand woven from mostly-cotton reclaimed material in Mexico by skilled artisans
- Leather straps are hand-made in the US from vegetable-tanned leather that ages nicely with use
- Blankets are machine washable on cold gentle cycle, lay flat to dry

Based out of California, the mother and daughter team collaborates with skilled artisans from their home country of Mexico and the blankets come straight from a family run business there. Previously known as Nipomo, the company rebranded to Caminito in 2022.
