The Stupid Animal Shop is the work of artist kAt Philbin. While she began the shop over 15 years ago with a self-deprecating name and a handful of drawings, it has grown to a thriving business with customers all over the world. kAt is currently based in Los Angeles, but originally hails from a spooky house in the middle of nowhere of Southwest Missouri. With one foot in the horror/dark art community and the other planted firmly in whimsy, kAt draws inspiration from diverse sources, including the animal kingdom and the natural world, myths and fairytales, and the illogic of dreams.
